Janet Kestenberg Amighi, Ph.D.
Janet did her dissertation research in anthropology in Iran between 1971-78, on a small religious group, the Zoroastrians who had undergone severe persecution in the 19th and early 20th centuries, culminating in her book, The Zoroastrians of Iran. She also researched conditions of Zoroastrians under the Islamic Republic of Iran, leading to the updated book, The Zoroastrians of Iran: A history of transformation and survival. She has published three articles directly in the fields of genocide and Holocaust studies, most recently in 2019.

Helene Bass-Wichelhaus, MSW, Ph.D.
Helene is a practicing psychoanalyst in New York City. She is Co-Chair of the International Study of Organized Persecution of Children, a project of Child Development Research. She is a Senior Member of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, where she serves on the Editorial Board of the Psychoanalytic Review. She is a member of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis and of the Harlem Family Institute. She is a former faculty member at NPAP, the Institute for Expressive Analysis, and Adelphi University School of Social Work. She is a former Supervisor at the Melillo Center for Mental Health. She has published articles on childhood development, Holocaust trauma, and antisemitism.
Eva Fogelman, Ph.D.
Eva Fogelman is a social psychologist, a psychotherapist in private practice in New York, a filmmaker, and the author of the award-winning Conscience and Courage: Rescuers of Jews During the Holocaust (1995). She was Co-Founder and Co-Director of Psychotherapy with Generations of the Holocaust and Related Traumas, TIMH. She was the Founding Director of the Jewish Foundation for Christian Rescuers, ADL (originally the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous). She is currently the Co-Director of Child Development Research. She moderates the podcast The Blue Card Stories of the Holocaust: Overcoming Historical Traumas and a Zoom program, “Transforming Moments: Second Generation of Holocaust Survivors,” for the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
